This video shows a POV ('persistence of vision') LED display that consists of just 8 RGB light emitting diodes (LED's), a pic microcontroller, and a 64K EPROM. The display has a resolution of 8 pixels x 85 pixels. The EPROM has the capacity to hold 255 different frames, which makes this POV LED display capable of simple animations. It's interesting how the persistence of human vision can reconstruct complex images from changing dots made by just 8 LED's.
